If you have already enrolled in one of our FAA approved
Part 141 programs, you are on your way to getting your commercial
certificate in as low as 190 hours. We offer both the single and
multi-engine commercial ratings. Flying opportunities such as flight instruction,
banner towing, charter and
freight operations will be opened to you.
Prerequisite:
The private certificate is required and an instrument rating is recommended
before you start the Commercial Pilot program. Without the
instrument rating you will be limited to a 50 mile radius for all your
commercial endeavors. Additional requirements include: an FAA 3rd Class
Medical and the ability to
read, understand and speak English.
Time
Frame:
If you were to start at zero time and complete Airborne Systems' Part 141 Commercial Pilot program, it will take three to four months for a full-time student.
Previous training outside of Part 141 requires a total of 250 flight hours
to qualify for the Commercial checkride.
Curriculum:
Airborne Systems' Commercial Pilot program is Part 141 certified.
This certification reduces the hours and cost required for the commercial
training. This is because Airborne Systems utilizes the Cessna Multimedia Training
System--the best in the
industry! This CD-ROM based system features individual Labs (flight theory
lessons) taught by John and Martha King, Rod Machado and other aviation training
pioneers. The Labs are integrated with Flight Lessons that preview your
flights, taking you into the air on your computer screen offering you the
pilot's eye view of the maneuvers you'll learn with your instructor.
You'll be able to check your progress--Flight and Labs--throughout your
training. The multimedia course also comes equipped with questions you
will need to know to pass your written
exam.
Cost:
Airborne Systems' Commercial Pilot Training program will take you
from private to commercial in as little as $39,650. Once you have accumulated the
required time on your own, it will take about ten hours in the retractable gear/complex aircraft before you
will be ready to take the checkride.
