Places to Stay
Ft. Lauderdale offers more than 550 lodging establishments ranging from luxurious hotels to smaller motels. Crossland Studio apartments, part of Extended Stays America, is located just 2 miles from the school and airfield. Crossland has one and two bedroom studios with kitchen, refrigerator and microwave. Transportation
Broward County public transportation has buses and trains that interconnect with Palm Beach and Dade Counties. Discount weekly passes are available for unlimited transportation. Taxi service and weekly car rentals are also available. A bicycle or a small motorbike is also useful and economical. Prices for rental cars range from $100 to $150 per week if prearranged. Shopping
There are plenty of shopping outlets available. West Broward County has the worlds largest discount outlet mall called Sawgrass Mills. If upscale shopping is what you want, you can find Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman-Marcus and Brooks Brothers in the famed Galleria Mall. Winn Dixie grocery store is within walking distance offering a wide selection of meats, produce, groceries and more.

Dining
There are more than 2,500 restaurants in Broward County for any palate from fine to fast food. If you need to dine on a budget, there are many fast food restaurants where meals can be as low as $5.00.

Sightseeing and Attractions
Pilots can fly most every day to endless beaches and tourist destinations.

Orlando, just about an hour by airplane, offers tourist attractions such as: Walt Disney World and  Universal Studios.  Other great attractions to visit are Busch Gardens, Sea World, Daytona Beach and Cape Canaveral.

South Florida has many places to go and things to do.  Everglades Holiday Park, 750,000 acres of unspoiled wetlands, features airboat rides, alligator wrestling, tours, and plenty of fishing.  Boomers Dania, a gaming park, offers go-carts, video games, and "The Hurricane", a state of the art wooden roller coaster.  Broward Center for the Performing Arts provides fine, live theater and musical performances in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale.  And of course, Key West, and some of world's most beautiful beaches are available to you when you come to South Florida.
